Ruido Grande in the press!

The Derbyshire Times have written a feature article on Glossop Samba Band (aka Ruido Grande) for the Buxton Advertiser and also included a short video of Laszlo playing the congas on their website. Here's a snippet...

Happy Shoppers in Hyde

Glossop Samba Band
We played a fantastic gig yesterday at Clarendon Square Shopping Centre in Hyde in aid of the Alszheimer's Society. The acoustics were great and everyone who was shopping stopped to have a listen or take a recording on their phones. We got some good pictures of our band members and even a video of us playing a samba piece called "Ee Jai Yah!" (currently awaiting the correct spelling of this!), which you can find on our Video page.

Hadfield Carnival 2013

A huge audience at Hadfield Carnival. Thanks to everyone who came to watch. We had a few blips, like when a pigeon flew straight at Caroline's head, but we managed to carry on playing despite this! We hope you enjoyed it!

Two gigs, One wet weekend!

Thank you to the crowd that came to watch us on Saturday at the High Peak Women's Aid Charity Fundraiser in Norfolk Square, despite the rain! Believe it or not there were 14 of us and our drums in that marquee!

On Sunday we played at the Hadfield & Padfield Heritage event. Yet another rainy gig for Ruido Grande! But we still managed to attract quite a crowd (and have a good time too!). Our dancer Sophia showed us her Samba moves and got the crowd joining in even in the pouring rain. — at Hadfield Train Station.
